Healogics, the largest provider of advanced wound care services in the U.S., is seeking a Hyperbaric Safety Director responsible for the safe operation of hyperbaric chambers and delivery of hyperbaric oxygen therapy as prescribed by the provider. This Monday-Friday role involves preparing and educating patients, administering therapy, monitoring equipment and patient responses, maintaining patient records, operating and maintaining hyperbaric chambers and support systems, leading safety programs including drills and compliance, and collaborating with medical and facility personnel. The role requires ensuring safety of materials used in chambers and compliance with regulatory standards.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, certifications such as Certified Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT) or Certified Hyperbaric Specialist (CHS) preferred, completion of approved HBO safety and hyperbaric medicine courses, and current professional healthcare licensure (e.g., Respiratory Therapist, RN, LPN, EMT, Paramedic, Certified Medical Assistant, Physical Therapist, or military hyperbaric training). Two or more years of healthcare experience is preferred, as is prior supervisory experience.
Required skills include current BLS/CPR certification, hyperbaric equipment troubleshooting, strong communication, attention to detail, multitasking, organizational and time management skills, basic math, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. The hourly pay ranges from $28.26 to $37.39 based on qualifications and other factors.
