This role supports daily billing and collection operations for the Home Health Revenue Cycle Department, ensuring patient accounts are handled in compliance with company policy and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities include accurate billing records maintenance, cash posting, balance reconciliation, processing overpayments and underpayments, managing Medicaid-related payments to nursing facilities, handling denials and collections, maintaining timely filing requirements, and monitoring aging accounts and days in A/R.
The role also involves working collaboratively with nursing homes, health information, accounts payable, and other providers to support accurate payments, strong service levels, and referral relationships.
Qualifications
- Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent education, training, and experience
- 3-5 years of experience in home health billing
- Recent experience with home health billing software
- Knowledge of DDE is required
- Strong background in medical collections
- Ability to adapt quickly and take on new tasks
