Seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Records Specialist to receive, validate, document, and respond to requests for information contained in legal medical records.
This role handles inquiries from healthcare organizations, attorneys, insurance companies, patients, and other third parties in a timely and efficient manner.
Location: Onsite in Urbandale, IA
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
Requirements & Qualifications
Education
- High school diploma required
- Associate degree in Health Science preferred
- RHIT, RHIA, or CRIS certification preferred
Experience
- Release of Information experience required
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinic setting preferred
- Experience with electronic health records, related office work, or customer service experience preferred
