Health Information Management Coordinator at Longview Rehabilitation Hospital, a 36-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital operated jointly by Lifepoint Health and Christus Health.
The role supports the Health Information Department by maintaining patient record confidentiality, coordinating medical record collection and retrieval, assisting physicians with the electronic medical record, and ensuring records are completed and processed within required timeframes.
The position also serves as a resource for staff and leadership on health information policies, regulations, and accreditation standards, including HIPAA, JCAHO, and CARF.
Associate or bachelor’s degree in a health care or related area preferred.
Minimum of 4 years of recent experience in hospital Health Information Management performing a variety of HIM functions, preferably in a supervisory role.
Equivalent education and experience may also be considered.
