Open Door Family Medical Centers is seeking a Medical Assistant to support its School-Based Health Center team serving the Webutuck School District area.
In this role, you will support students, families, and school staff by helping deliver medical and mental health care in a school-based setting. You will greet patients, assist providers, record clinical information, and help coordinate services and community resources to ensure students receive care where they learn and grow.
Requirements & Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Accredited Medical Assistant certificate required
- Clinical Medical Assistant Diploma required
- Bilingual English/Spanish required
- 1+ years of experience in a Medical Assistant role
- Superior customer service skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with MS Office and data-based systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Ability to travel periodically to other School Based Health Center sites in Ossining and Port Chester
- Able to move around for long periods, bend, lift light supplies, and reposition patients as needed
