Freedom Behavioral Health Solutions is a behavioral health clinic focused on making mental health care accessible and transformative. The Medical Assistant supports clinical operations and patient care for individuals receiving TMS, Spravato, and other behavioral health services.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with patient intake, medical history collection, insurance verification, and documentation completion
  • Greeting and checking in patients while verifying demographic and insurance information
  • Measuring and recording vital signs and other clinical observations
  • Preparing patients for examinations and treatments while maintaining comfort, dignity, and confidentiality
  • Supporting providers during examinations and procedures
  • Administering injections according to established clinical protocols
  • Supporting patients during Spravato treatments under provider supervision
  • Maintaining and organizing medical equipment, supplies, and inventory
  • Documenting patient information in the EHR and maintaining accurate, confidential medical records
  • Coordinating appointments, follow-ups, referrals, and scheduling communications
  • Verifying insurance eligibility and benefits, coordinating prior authorizations, and assisting with billing and coding-related tasks
  • Providing patient education regarding treatments, medications, and follow-up care
  • Collaborating with providers, therapists, nurses, and administrative staff in a fast-paced clinical environment
Requirements & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant training program preferred
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required, or required within the organization's timeframe if applicable
  • CPR/BLS certification required
  • At least 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably behavioral health
  • Experience using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare compliance requirements
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Empathy and commitment to patient-centered care
