Commonwealth Pain & Spine is a pain management network dedicated to improving the lives of patients through respectful, safe, responsible, and clinically proven pain relief.
We are seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to support patients and healthcare providers in delivering compassionate, effective care. This role is responsible for assisting with patient intake, clinical support, documentation, room preparation, and coordination of care in a pain management setting.
Requirements & Qualifications
Qualifications
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to quickly and accurately type notes into EMR as the provider dictates
- Strong computer and phone skills
- Ability to manage multiple simultaneous tasks effectively while maintaining a professional and courteous manner
- Advanced knowledge of healthcare regulatory and compliance policies, including HIPAA
- Ability to help lift patients from a procedure table to a wheelchair and from a wheelchair to a car
- Regular and reliable attendance
- EMR, KASPER, and INSPECT knowledge and experience preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Medical Assistant experience preferred
- Pain management experience preferred
