Medical billing and collections role for a physical therapy practice handling accounts receivable, claims denials, overpayments, patient collections, and insurance follow-up. This is an in-person position working Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a one-hour lunch break.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience in medical billing, especially physical therapy
- Experience with New York Workers' Compensation, No-Fault, and commercial insurance
- Strong knowledge of accounts receivable, claims denials, and overpayments
- Understanding of EOBs, CPT codes, and ICD codes
- Ability to post insurance checks and review denials
- Knowledge of in-network and out-of-network claims
- Familiarity with Medicare and private insurance
- Computer literacy and strong organizational skills
- Ability to cross-cover front desk duties and collect patient payments
