Able Medical Transportation is seeking a Medical Billing & Collections Coordinator to oversee billing operations for non-emergency ambulance transportation services.
This role is based in-office and is not remote. The position supports a small, growing medical transportation company and includes oversight of billing workflows, collections, and a small administrative staff. The coordinator will work closely with insurance carriers, facilities, patients, and internal operations staff to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement.
Requirements & Qualifications
Qualifications
- Previous experience in medical billing and collections, with ambulance or EMS billing experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance billing processes
- Ability to review trip documentation and assign correct CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 codes
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency in basic office technology
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience with medical insurance, medical billing, and administrative work preferred
