Medical Billing Collections Specialist - DME for a California DME/HME provider of home oxygen, CPAP, ventilators, hospital beds, and other products servicing the area from San Diego to Sacramento.
This role supports collections, claims follow-up, appeals, audits, and medical records review in a fast-paced corporate office environment.
Requirements & Qualifications
- 2–3 years minimum experience in a fast-paced, professional medical office setting
- Medical records experience
- Medical billing experience
- Self-motivated with problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Well-organized with strong attention to detail
- Punctual and dependable
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, PDF organizers, and Brightree software
- Knowledge of DME medical necessity criteria and insurance requirements
- Ability to type 60 WPM
