The Neurology Institute is seeking a full-time, experienced, detail-oriented Medical Billing and Collections Specialist to manage the accounts receivable lifecycle.
In this role, you will track outstanding insurance claims, resolve complex claim denials, file strategic appeals, and manage patient balance collections professionally. The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of the healthcare billing cycle and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in medical billing, insurance follow-up, and collections • Proficiency in medical coding including CPT, ICD-10, and DRG classifications • Strong knowledge of healthcare claims management, medical billing procedures, and medical collection techniques • Proficiency with eClinicalWorks (ECW), EMR/EHR systems, and Microsoft Office tools • Familiarity with medical records management and claim processing workflows • Excellent understanding of health insurance policies, medical terminology, and patient communication • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, insurance representatives, and healthcare staff
