Acacia Network is seeking a Medical Director to provide medical leadership, clinical oversight, and administrative coordination for a program serving underserved communities. This role is responsible for guiding the delivery of quality care, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting interdisciplinary care planning.
The Medical Director serves as a liaison between administration and the medical staff and helps develop, implement, and evaluate the medical delivery model. The position is located in Albany, NY.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted physician licensure in New York
- MD or DO degree
- Completion of three years of residency and fellowship, if applicable
- One year of related practice experience in substance use disorder
- Board certification in Addiction Medicine, to be obtained within 4 years of hire
- Active NPI, DEA registration, and DATA 2000 Waiver (buprenorphine)
- NYS mandated Infection Control certification
- Current Basic Life Support certification
- Knowledge of ICD-10 diagnosis and procedure coding
