The Medical Director provides high-quality medical care to residents of a skilled nursing facility and assisted living community while supporting clinical operations, regulatory compliance, interdisciplinary care coordination, and quality improvement initiatives. This role includes direct patient care, medical oversight of the facility, serving as a resource to other providers within Meridian Medical Services, participation in facility meetings, administrative responsibilities, and shared on-call coverage with other providers.
The position requires regular on-site clinical coverage at Compass Park Skilled Nursing Facility and Assisted Living in Franklin, Indiana, with an average schedule of 4-8 days per month. Duties include active participation in facility meetings, administrative functions, and a rotating call schedule shared among credentialed providers.
Pay: From $800.00 per day
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Current and unrestricted Indiana medical license
- Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, or related specialty
- DEA registration and controlled substance prescribing privileges
- Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, geriatric medicine, post-acute care, or assisted living preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
