We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated OR First Assist/Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) to join a plastic surgery healthcare team. This role combines perioperative and outpatient clinic support in a fast-paced clinical environment.
The position offers the opportunity to assist surgeons during procedures, manage patient assessments, and support seamless coordination of care. The role is hands-on and patient-centered, with a focus on safe, efficient, and compassionate care.
Key responsibilities include surgical assistance, perioperative patient care, outpatient clinic support, scheduling coordination, and clinical documentation. The role also includes maintaining HIPAA compliance, infection control standards, and sterile processing practices.
Qualifications
- Active RN license
- 1-2 years of first assist experience preferred
- Ability to scrub and circulate in plastic surgery procedures
- Experience in surgical settings such as operating rooms, outpatient clinics, or ambulatory surgery centers
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems
- Hands-on skills in IV infusion, venipuncture, catheterization, suturing, and aseptic technique
- Knowledge of infectious disease protocols and infection control practices
- Proficiency in medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding, and accurate medical documentation
