Clinical Dental Assistant

Join our dynamic oral surgery team as a Clinical Dental Assistant and help deliver exceptional patient care in a fast-paced, friendly environment.

In this role, you will support dentists during a variety of procedures, ensure high standards of infection control, and help create a welcoming atmosphere for patients of all ages. You will also assist with medical documentation, patient interaction, and oral surgery workflow support.

This is a paid, in-person position with opportunities to grow your skills in oral surgery and advanced dental technologies.

Requirements & Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Certified Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting
  • Knowledge of general dentistry procedures
  • Proficiency with EMR systems; experience with medical coding and records management is a plus
  • Strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control practices, and aseptic technique
  • Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining excellent patient rapport
  • Certification in X-ray techniques and familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dental care
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with the dental team

Duties

  • Assist surgeons chairside during examinations and procedures such as extractions and implants
  • Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials
  • Take dental X-rays using advanced equipment including 3D scanners and digital imaging systems
  • Manage electronic medical records in WinOMS software to document patient information and treatment plans
  • Monitor vital signs and provide imaging support for patients with special needs or pediatric dentistry requirements
  • Educate patients on dental procedures and post-treatment care
