Licensed Professional Counselor

We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and highly skilled Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our dynamic mental health team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive psychotherapy services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults. You will help clients navigate mental health challenges, develop coping strategies, and achieve personal growth through in-person and telehealth services.

Requirements & Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations using ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to determine client needs.
  • Provide individual, group, family, and crisis intervention counseling tailored to clients’ unique circumstances.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapies such as psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis to facilitate client progress.
  • Manage cases involving co-occurring disorders, developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, PTSD care, and chronic pain counseling.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation adhering to HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards while ensuring confidentiality of patient records.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, medical professionals, educators, and case managers to optimize patient care plans.
  • Engage in ongoing research and professional development to stay current with clinical ethical guidelines and best practices in mental health counseling.

Experience and qualifications

  • Proven experience working with children and adolescents in outpatient or inpatient settings with a focus on pediatrics or special education.
  • Demonstrated expertise in crisis management, crisis intervention strategies, and behavior management techniques.
  • Strong background in addiction counseling, grief counseling, gender issues counseling, and working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays.
  • Familiarity with telehealth therapy platforms and delivering services via telehealth experience is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, and medical terminology related to mental health treatment.
  • Experience conducting diagnostic evaluations for mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety disorders, PTSD, autism spectrum disorder, and other behavioral health issues.
  • Ability to work effectively within clinical documentation standards while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations.
