Supports physician teams in a clinic environment by performing injury assessments, assisting physicians and physician assistants with treatment, and providing follow-up care.
This is a full-time, hourly position with a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The role requires travel to all clinic locations and may include some overtime.
Key responsibilities include clinic scheduling support, patient flow, chart preparation, patient education, EMR documentation, DME dispensing and fitting, casting, suture and staple removal, wound care, and inventory management for durable medical equipment.
Qualifications
- Skilled understanding of anatomy, physical evaluation, surgical procedures, orthopaedic recovery/rehabilitation procedures, and emergency procedures
- Ability to provide clear and comprehensive EMR documentation
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to use logic and reasoning to solve problems
- Ability to keep detailed reports and use email, web navigation, Microsoft Suite, and clinic information systems
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- Strong self-direction and time management
- Ability to use confidentiality, discretion, and judgment appropriately
Education and Certification
- College education preferred but not required
- Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) through BOC, EMT licensure, or Medical Assistant certification preferred
- AHA BLS Certification required
- 2 years of experience working in a clinical environment required
