Position Summary
A senior revenue cycle analyst provides data analytics and system support for revenue cycle IT systems to improve functions within revenue cycle management, including charge capture, billing, coding, payment posting, and denial management. The role functions as a project manager, collaborating closely with subject matter experts to support day-to-day business operations, productivity improvement programs, revenue reconciliation, benchmarking, and reporting. The position requires a strong understanding of administrative and financial IT systems, as well as familiarity with electronic health record systems and the underlying databases integrated into the EHR.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, health information management, computer science, informatics, or a related field preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in CDM management, health information management, or hospital revenue integrity
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system, including report functions and add-on functions
- Experience with healthcare billing requirements, including UB-04 and 1500 forms
- Knowledge of CMS Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement methodologies
