Program Operations Specialist

Northwest Regional Council

Northwest Regional Council (NWRC) is seeking a Program Operations Specialist to support clinical programs, including care coordination and behavioral health.

This role works within the Business Development unit and supports agency-wide operations by helping ensure work is recorded and billed correctly, assisting clinicians, coordinating with subcontractors and payers, and supporting program reporting requirements.

The position is based in Bellingham, Washington, with regular in-person office time and optional remote days as part of a hybrid work environment.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education and experience

  • Bachelor's degree in social services or a related field, plus 1 year of experience in social services and/or a support staff function; or
  • 2 years of college-level coursework in a relevant field, plus 3 years of experience in social services and/or a support staff function; or
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge and skills

  • Broad knowledge of legal, contractual, and financial requirements related to agency programs
  • Intermediate skills with databases, word processing, and spreadsheets
  • Ability to perform complex data analysis and compile data-driven summaries
  • Ability to analyze situations accurately and determine effective courses of action
  • Ability to provide technical support and explain complex program processes
  • Strong organization, prioritization, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently under frequent deadlines
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Strong interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity

  • Valid driver's license

Compensation

  • $28.49 to $37.17 per hour
  • 10-step pay range with annual step increases subject to satisfactory performance
  • Annual cost-of-living adjustments may apply
