Physician - Adult Medicine

Requirements & Qualifications

Education & Licensure

  • MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree from an accredited institution
  • Active, unrestricted New York State medical license
  • At least 1 year of postgraduate residency training in an approved program
  • For candidates from unaccredited or unregistered medical schools: 3 years of approved residency training and a passing score on a recognized proficiency examination
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine

Clinical Skills

  • Strong patient care, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment skills
  • Ability to manage 24–28 patients daily in a fast-paced clinical setting
  • Experience with prescribing medications and ordering/interpreting diagnostic tests
  • Competency in EMR documentation and charting

Professional Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Adobe, and standard office equipment
  • Familiarity with primary diagnostic and clinical tools such as thermometers, blood pressure cuffs, syringes, AED machines, pulse oximeters, glucometers, and EKG machines
