A well-established, physician-led group in Suffolk County, Long Island is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Cardiologist to join its growing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a key clinical provider in the delivery of high-quality cardiac care.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, including history taking, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic tests.
- Manage acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions using evidence-based practices.
- Create and oversee individualized treatment plans that support long-term heart health.
- Educate patients about diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive strategies.
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Collaborate with referring physicians, specialists, and care teams to ensure seamless patient care.
- Provide clinical oversight to nurses, technologists, and support staff.
- Mentor clinical trainees, including students, physician extenders, and interns.
- Stay compliant with HIPAA, NYS DOH, CMS, and relevant payer guidelines.
- Participate in population health initiatives and quality improvement projects.
- Help develop and maintain a sustainable patient panel aligned with practice growth objectives.
Requirements & Qualifications
Qualifications
- Medical Degree (MD or DO).
- Active or eligible board certification in Cardiology.
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in New York State.
- Strong diagnostic, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Team-oriented with a patient-centered approach to care.
- Proven ability to maintain and grow a local clinical practice.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to grow and manage a patient base.
- Familiarity with EMRs and value-based care metrics is a plus.
