Cardiologist

A well-established, physician-led group in Nassau County, Long Island is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Cardiologist to join its growing team. The practice is known for clinical excellence, patient satisfaction, and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality cardiac care as a key clinical provider
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, including history taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic test interpretation
  • Manage acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions using evidence-based practices
  • Create and oversee individualized treatment plans that support long-term heart health
  • Educate patients on diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive strategies
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
  • Collaborate with referring physicians, specialists, and care teams to support seamless patient care
  • Provide clinical oversight to nurses, technologists, and support staff
  • Mentor clinical trainees, including students, physician extenders, and interns
  • Participate in population health initiatives and quality improvement projects
  • Contribute to the growth and development of a sustainable patient panel
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Medical Degree (MD or DO)
  • Active or eligible board certification in Cardiology
  • Licensed, or eligible for licensure, in New York State
  • Strong diagnostic, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Team-oriented, patient-centered approach to care
  • Proven ability to maintain and grow a local clinical practice
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to grow and manage a patient base
  • Familiarity with EMRs and value-based care metrics is a plus
