TEAP Specialist

Serrato Corp.

Develop and implement the Trainee Employee Assistance Program (TEAP), including assessment, intervention, counseling, relapse prevention, and education services. Provide substance use prevention and education support to students and staff, maintain intervention plans and health record documentation, collaborate with center leadership and health staff, and support a safe, healthy, and drug-free environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Deliver a minimum 1-hour interactive substance use prevention presentation for all new students during Career Preparation Period
  • Conduct at least three annual center-wide substance use prevention and education activities
  • Participate in clinical consultation with center leadership and health staff regarding prevention and education efforts
  • Review intake assessments for all students within one week of arrival
  • Provide individual and group intervention services focused on employability barriers
  • Develop and monitor student intervention plans and document progress in health records
  • Facilitate counseling and support groups related to intervention and recovery
  • Maintain community referral relationships and assist with quarterly reporting
  • Conduct staff training on alcohol and other drugs of abuse
  • Support center standards, safety practices, and required compliance policies
Requirements & Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in drug/alcohol counseling or a related field
  • Experience working with youth preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel
  • Basic computer literacy, including email, internet, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Knowledge of counseling techniques and substance abuse intervention programs
  • Ability to relate to young adults

Licensure and certifications

  • Active, unrestricted substance abuse license or certification meeting state licensing requirements
  • Valid state driver's license
