Clinical Informatics Specialist

The Clinical Informatics Specialist supports Swedish Health Services by writing queries and creating reports that help improve the quality and value of care delivered to patients. The role provides analytic support for measuring clinical processes and outcome measures related to disease, clinical processes, care pathways, and population health.

Requirements & Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, information technology, health informatics, public health, or a related subject
  • Within 1 year of hire: Epic certification and proficiency in reporting tools, maintained while employed
  • 3 years of SQL programming experience, including some combination of Snowflake, SQL Server 2012, data warehouse design, or Oracle SQL
  • 3 years of progressive experience in healthcare operations, decision support tools, or management of complex databases and analytics
  • Proven experience creating, managing, and validating large data sets

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, information technology, health informatics, public health, or a related subject
  • Experience reporting data from Epic Clarity and/or Chronicles databases
  • Experience with Tableau and Power BI
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis methodologies, modeling, and hypothesis testing
