Child & Family Services Intake Specialist

Overview

Sound Behavioral Health is hiring a Child & Family Services Intake Specialist to provide clinical intakes and assessments for new clients. The role focuses on advanced clinical assessment, risk evaluation, level-of-care determination, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

The position is based out of a Sound clinic in King County, Washington, with flexible location options including Rainier Valley, Bellevue, Tukwila, or Auburn.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Requirements & Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a counseling-related field (MSW, MS, or MA) required
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a psychotherapist or case manager with adults and/or children preferred
  • Active MHP-qualifying credential with the Washington Department of Health, such as LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, or an associate-level version of these credentials
  • Strong judgment, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Working knowledge of therapy, case management, behavioral health resources, and local health delivery systems in King County
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, respond to crises, and work effectively with diverse populations
  • Successful criminal background check required
