Responsible for safeguarding and protecting patient privacy by ensuring that only authorized individuals have access to medical information and that all information released complies with requests, authorizations, policies, and HIPAA statutes. Works in direct customer service and collaborates with multiple departments within Graham Health System. Reports to the Director of Health Information Management.
Requirements & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–3 years of experience in a hospital Health Information Department or similar medical office setting
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR)
- Release of Information experience preferred
