Graham Health System is seeking a Release of Information (ROI) Specialist for its Health Information Management department. This full-time role works the 1st shift, Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 4:30pm, for 80 hours biweekly.
The position is responsible for safeguarding patient privacy by ensuring that only authorized individuals access patient medical information and that all information released complies with requests, authorizations, policies, and HIPAA requirements. The role also involves direct customer service and collaboration with multiple departments across the health system, reporting to the Director of Health Information Management.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–3 years of experience in a hospital Health Information Department or similar medical office setting
- Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR)
- Preferred experience in release of information
