Great Lakes Physician Services is seeking an experienced or newly certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide comprehensive care in occupational medicine.
The role involves performing medical assessments, diagnosing and treating illnesses, conducting physical examinations, and coordinating care with other healthcare professionals to support employee health, wellness, and safety.
Responsibilities include workers' compensation fitness-for-duty and return-to-work evaluations, prescribing medications and treatments, documenting patient visits in electronic medical records, and assisting with hearing tests, EKGs, PFTs, and phlebotomy as needed.
- Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant certification
- Ability to perform physical examinations and diagnostic tests
- Ability to diagnose and treat illnesses
- Experience or willingness to work in occupational medicine
- Strong documentation and electronic medical record skills
- Ability to coordinate with other healthcare professionals
- Willingness to assist with hearing tests, EKGs, PFTs, and phlebotomy as needed
